[Photo/ODM]Members of Parliament from the Orange Democratic Movement party have come to the rescue of the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga over his fundraising plea.Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday asked for financial support from the general public towards their campaigns ahead of the October 17 fresh presidential election.A section of Jubilee leaders led by Garissa township MP Aden Duale however came out to criticise the opposition team saying they were out to loot money from Kenyans. In a quick rejoinder, Alego Usengo legislator Samuel Atandi and his counterpart of Muhoroni Onyango K'Oyoo told off Duale stop stop attacking Nasa since they are doing nothing illegal.Speaking at Acacia Premier Hotel in Kisumu, Saturday, Atandi said Nasa's plea for raising funds is a common practice in mature democracies."In fact, the overwhelming grassroots support [Barrack] Obama received in both his presidential bids in 2008 and 2012 were partly because of ..donor funding by American citizens who believed he represented their values and interests," said Atandi as quoted by Nation.Speaking separately, K'Oyoo asked Duale to concentrate on Jubilee affairs and give Nasa a break."What is Duale’s concern? He seems to be too idle. I wonder why he gets so preoccupied with Nasa affairs. He should stick to Jubilee issues and leave Nasa alone," K'Oyoo said.
