The decision by a section of ODM legislators and governors to snub Monday's meeting at Mombasa will not sabitage the party's plans, treasurer Timothy Bosire has said.
Last week, a good number of legislators led by Malindi's Aisha Jumwa had publicly declared their support for Deputy President William Ruto precipitating to the urgent meeting.
With governors Josphat Nanok, James Ongwae, John Nyagarama and a number of dependable leaders failing to show up, the party insists that they are at liberty to mingle with whoever they want.
"There is no panic at all in the party. Monday's meeting was communicated last month and all those in NEC were at liberty to attend," said the former Kitutu Masaba MP.
"And it is wrong to say that Raila Odinga has been snubbed because those who didn't show up have not formally given a reason," he added.
During the meeting, Raila once again backed his MOU with President Uhuru Kenyatta adding that his main agenda is to unite Kenyans.
As to whether ODM will field candidate in 2022, Bosire said, the party is revamping and will definitely field a candidate contrary to claims that it may support Kanu.
