The four included ODM Director of Political Affairs Opiyo Wandayi, Nyando MP Fred Outa, Homa Bay Women Rep Gladys Wanga and Rangwe MP George Oner.

Speaking during a fundraiser at Nyalieng’a Christian Revolution Fellowship Center Church in Rangwe constituency, the four said that a lot of allegations were going round, further claiming that the officials were involved in scandals during the purchase of biometric voter registration kits.

Wandayi argued that they concurred with the Joint Parliamentary Committee's resolution that the Issack  Hassan-led team goes home honourably and be investigated on individual basis.

“We are not saying all the commissioners perpetrated scandals during their tenure but the information we have is that some of them mismanaged tax payer’s money. Each of these commissioners must be investigated to ensure whoever was involved is held to account,” said Wandayi.

The Ugunja MP further said that the commissioners should not be paid any extra funds beyond what the time they had served in office.

On his part, Outa argued that the new commission to be selected must register voters afresh to weed out dead voters from the register.

He argued that failure to clear the voter’s register would create loopholes and make some candidates rig elections.

“We are committed as Cord to ensure we get clean victory in the next general election. But this cannot be achieved when ‘dead voters’ are also allowed to participate in the voting,” said Outa.

his sentiments were resounded by Ms Wanga who accused the Jubilee administration of being divisive in sharing various positions in the country.
