The ODM party proved too strong for the Jubilee Party in Kilifi county after running away with all possible top seat in the area.
This came in despite the many trips made by Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta in the area to persuade the voters to lean on the Jubilee side of life.
ODM won all the 7 parliamentary seats together with the gubernatorial position.
Below is the list of winners and lossers in the seven constituencies.
1. Mustapha Idd (Jubilee) lost Kilifi South to Ken Chonga(ODM) (10,868 against 36,450).
2. Ganze constituency- Teddy Mwambire of ODM overpowered incumbent Peter Shehe (14,703 votes against 7,101.)
3. Kaloleni- Jubilee's Paul Katana (ODM) beats Jubilee's Kitsao Ngowa. (17,093 votes against 6,538).
4. Magarini- Michael Kingi of ODM trounced Harry Kombe of Jubilee with 19,216 votes against 6,362.
5. Kilifi North - ODM’s Owen Baya took 27,728 votes to beat Jubilee’s Esther Kache’s 9,534.
6. Rabai constituency - William Kamoti of ODM retained his seat against Kenga Mupe (18,025 votes against 7,180.)
7. Malindi, ODM’s Aisha Jumwa scored 28,576 votes. Jubilee candidate Philip Charo had 13,927 votes.
