Kwale Women Representative Zuleikha Juma has dared President Uhuru Kenyatta's government to stop Raila Odinga's planned Tuesday swearing-in ceremony.Speaking to journalists at the Kwale Law courts on Friday, Juma claimed that the Jubilee government is trying to intimidate opposition leaders ahead of Raila's inauguration.Juma alleged that last Sunday’s arrest of NASA strategist David Ndii was a ploy by the government to stop Raila's swearing-in ceremony.Juma said the plans to swear-in Raila are unstoppable, terming the government’s assertion that the ceremony is illegal as baseless.The ODM women rep said the Jubilee Party cannot stop the wish and will of the people.She argued that Kenyans are tired of the Jubilee regime for allegedly perpetuating impunity, injustice, marginalisation, and encouraging police brutality.The MP said Raila stands for justice and rule of law, adding that his push for electoral reforms cannot be stopped.She said the country needs a third liberation to get rid of impunity and electoral fraud.The Kwale women rep at the same time lauded Kwale MCAs for adopting the people's assembly motion.The opposition has maintained that it will swear-in Raila as the people’s president on Jamhuri day.The government has however warned against the move, terming it illegal and unconstitutional.Attorney General Githu Muigai on Thursday warned Raila against swearing himself-in, saying he will be committing high treason which is punishable by death.NASA has however dismissed the AG's warning, saying the ceremony will go on as planned.
