Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has said that NASA leader Raila Odinga’s old age should not be the reason leaders are pressuring him to retire from active politics.
According to the vocal MP, Raila has the potential to remain in politics even if he is old.
"Raila is in his 70s but stronger that some politicians who are 60s but look very old than him.
"Raila has all the energy required to participate in politics of this country and those calling for his resignation should consider something different,” said Arati.
Arati assured that he will support Raila for presidency in 2022 if Raila will vie again.
"The ODM party leader means a lot to the leadership of this country.
"I will campaign for him to become president in 2022 if he vie because I believe he has all it takes to be the president of this nation and his age will affect his leadership,” he added.
Arati was speaking during an interview at Radio citizen on Sunday.
