North Mugirango MP Charles Geni has dismissed social media reports that he impregnated a parliamentary worker in Nairobi and that he was running away from executing responsibilities as a father.
In a North Mugirango WhatsApp group, a section of area residents accused him of siring a child with a lady identified as Happiness Mutuku and denied to take responsibilities.
But in an interview with this reporter on Thursday, Geni dismissed the claims as ‘primitive propaganda’ and accused unnamed political forces of allegedly being behind his predicaments.
“I am shocked to hear people tainting my name online that I sired a child and I have denied taking responsibilities. I help many people across the constituency and I don’t see any difficulty in doing the same to my flesh,” he said.
“I am aware of some weak opponents smearing my name using the primitive propaganda and I dare them to come forth. If at all it’s true, I expect the lady in question to sue me in a court of law because that involves the life of a human being,” added Geni.
The ODM legislator who also doubles as the party’s Nyamira County secretary general is facing fierce competition from County Speaker Joash Nyamoko.
