Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has come under a scathing attack from an ODM lawmaker following his fresh calls to have opposition chief Raila Odinga arrested.
Last week, Kuria demanded that Inspector General Joesph Boinnet arrests Raila following the seizing of allegedly a falsely declared consignment of ethanol by EACC officials conjunction with the Kenya Revenue Authority at Spectre International Company, which is associated with the Odinga family.
The MP threatened to arrest Raila and hand him over to the authorities should the IG fail to execute his responsibilities.
But in a quick rejoinder on Saturday, North Mugirango MP Charles Geni dismissed Kuria as ‘gun for hire’, and challenged him to make his threats real.
“It’s sad that my brother Kuria is so idle and keeps on dreaming about Raila, a pan-Africanist busy uniting people around the world. He knows the Constitution but always wants to be relevant,” he said.
“We know he is a gun for hire and we cannot waste our time handling him all the time. However, I want him to make his threats real or we handle him politically. As the opposition, we are tired of his antics,” he said during a phone interview with this writer.
In July this year, Kuria had ‘reconciled’ with Raila after he was arrested with seven other legislators over hate speech.
