Balambala MP Abdikadir Aden has pleaded with the Muslim community in North Eastern and the country at large to endorse NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga’s bid on August 8.
Aden wants Muslims to cast their vote in favour of NASA, saying Raila Odinga’s government will fight for their interests.
In an interview with the People Daily on Tuesday, the ODM MP said that the Muslim community has not gained anything from President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government sine it took power in 2013.
He claimed that UhuRuto wants to use the Muslim community as a rubber stamp to their re-election on August 8.
Aden claimed that Jubilee government has neglected the Muslim community in terms of public appointments and resource distribution.
Aden warned that the community will continue to suffer if UhuRuto wins re-election on August 8.
“Our hope as the Muslim community is in NASA and we must stand and vote for Raila Odinga on August 8 if we want to see equitable development,” he said.
The Balambala lawmaker asked the Muslim community to ignore Jubilee’s cheap promises, saying the ruling government is desperate for re-election.
The MP vowed to deliver all the Muslim and Somali votes to NASA in the August 8 general election.
