Lurambi MP Raphael Otaalo has said that he will venture into business until 2022 after he was trounced during Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) primaries. In an exclusive interview with the Star, Otaalo said that he will not be contesting for any political seat in the forthcoming general elections following the defeat at the primaries. Meanwhile, ODM nominations in different parts of the nation have been marred with all sorts of challenges as the next general elections draw closer. For instance, Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga has an uphill task to prevent the fallout of between Funyula MP Paul Otuoma and Incumbent Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong. Otuoma has criticized Ojaamong for allegedly rigging during nominations, a move that led to the cancellation of the results. The MP has insisted that he will not go back to the ballot; instead, ODM should present him with the ticket. At the Coast, ODM supporters have lamented over the delays of primaries after waiting for long on the queues. Both the opposition and Jubilee party are putting in place measures to ensure that they do not lose members ahead of the August polls.
