After the August 8 elections, attention will now shift to 2022 where several political heavyweights will face off in the race to State House.
In the NASA coalition, the battle to succeed Raila Odinga will be titanic with Raila's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka being his natural successor.However, Jomvu MP Badi Twalib is of a different view.According to Twalib, ODM deputy party leader Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho is the perfect replacement for Raila in 2022.Speaking in Nyali on Friday, Twalib who recently decamped from Wiper to ODM said that the Governor's close association with the former Prime Minister over the past five years makes him the right man to take over Raila in 2022."After Raila Amolo Odinga completes his term in 2022, the best candidate to succeed him is Hassan Joho. The student is one who walks close to his teacher. Behind me is standing a strong man (Joho) who will automatically succeed Raila Odinga as President of Kenya in 2022," the lawmaker said amid cheers from the crowd.
