Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has hit out at Jubilee Party accusing it of allegedly raiding NASA’s strongholds to weaken it ahead of next month repeat presidential poll.

The lawmaker claims that UhuRuto has sensed defeat and are allegedly is raiding on NASA’s strongholds for sympathy votes.

According to the ODM MP, UhuRuto’s meeting with some communities in perceived NASA’s strongholds is an act of fear of losing the repeat poll.

He asked UhuRuto to back off NASA’s zone, saying that they (Jubilee) no longer have an agenda to sell to Kenyans.

“We are concerned by Uhuru’s  raid on our zones and want to tell him that his alleged plan to weaken the opposition will not work,” he said as quoted by the Standard.

The MP further alleged that Jubilee could be using taxpayer’s money to fund its activities and campaigns.

Kaluma urged relevant government agencies to audit UhuRuto’s campaign spending.

The HomaBay Town lawmaker said that NASA will not be frightened by Jubilee’s tactics maintaining that presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has the numbers to win in the repeat election.

The MP appealed to NASA supporters to remain calm and peaceful as they wait to vote.

President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have been holding a series of meetings with communities from perceived NASA’s zones.

On Monday, Deputy President met over 3,000 Luhya professionals, strategists and politicians at former ODM Vice chairman Paula Otuoma’s home in Busia.

Otuoma who lost in the Busia governor race has declared support for President Kenyatta in repeat poll.

On Tuesday, the president met over 8,000 professionals and politicians from the Maa community urging them to support his bid in repeat poll.

Last week, the president and his deputy met with 5,000 professionals and politicians from Ukambani region.

UhuRuto have escalated their campaigns ahead do the repeat presidential election slated for next month.
