Raila said the party has put in measures aimed at conducting perfect party nominations.

He said the ODM party has lost several seats in the past due to bungled party nominations.

“We lost two seats in Teso in the last general elections. This is because that those who won in the nominations were denied the certificates and decided to decamp to other parties where they won,” he said.

He said the party has leart from the past nominations and will stage a peaceful and orderly exercise where the winner will be handed over the certificate.

Speaking on Saturday in Muhoroni constituency during the burial of former MP Prof Ayiecho Olweny’s mother, Raila said nominations will be conducted early next year.

He said the party aims to dispense some of the complaints after the nomination exercise early enough to stem any decamping of members.

Raila said that after the nominations have been conducted in a free manner he will expect party members to vote six piece without any mixture.

His sentiments were echoed by Nyando MP Fred Outa who said this time round it will be six piece.

“We want ODM to capture all the seats, this will only be possible if the party conducts a free and fair nominations exercise,” he said.
