The ODM has promised all aspirants for the Nakuru West wards and parliamentary seats that the 2017 party nominations will be free and fair.
ODM Nakuru County secretary general Hilton Abiola said the party is putting measures in place to ensure the process will be free and fair, and that the results will be acceptable by all aspirants.
Speaking during an interview in Nakuru town, Abiola said the party has learned from previous experiences where its nominations were rocked with chaos and rejection of results.
"This time round the ODM nominations are going to be very different and we are already putting mechanisms in place to ensure the process will be free and fair and that the people will have the final say," said Abiola.
"In the past, some people have been riding on the name of the party leader to get nominations but this time round we are telling them that they should be prepared to face the people,"he added.
Abiola added that the party has streamlined the nomination process to avoid fallout and defections before, during and after the nominations process.
