The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party officials in Nyanza region campaigning for independent candidates seeking seats in the upcoming August general election have been cautioned that they may lose their jobs.
According to the Nyanza Presidential Campaigns Team campaigning for the Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga, the party officials are working against calls by the ODM party to have a six-piece voting pattern.
The team led by Homa Bay woman representative Gladys Wanga and nominated MPOburu Odinga have called on all officials to back the candidates who were cleared by the Orange party.
“Right now we can thump our chests as a party to advocate for six-piece voting pattern. The same should go to party officials who automatically risk losing their positions by supporting independent candidates,” said Oburu.
“Those supporting independent candidatesa should be sent packing. We need to support ODM party six-piece mantra,” Wanga noted.
