Opposition coalition party ODM on Sunday started a two-day retreat at Maanzoni resort, Machakos County.
The retreat is aimed at discussing several issues including corruption, insecurity and the dissolution of the parliaments Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
ODM's party leader Raila Odinga has said that the retreat is for the National Executive Committee members (NAC), the National Elections Board (NAB) and the National Secretariat.
Odinga also added that the meeting is made to lay strategise on the next general elections scheduled for 2017, adding that they hope to ascend to power.
In his statement, the party leader shot on the air that this retreat is among the many the party has lined up to rejuvenate the party ahead of the 2017 general elections.
ODM is at the same time this week expected to come up with the new list of members to the PAC team, which was previously led by Ababu Namwamba but was dissolved by parliament over bribery claims.
