Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi has denied claims by a section of leaders from the region that ODM party is dead.
Mr Maangi said the party is strong and those who are not happy with the party leadership should denounce their support.
“ODM party remains a strong political party in the country’s political history. Some politicians who are self-centred should stop misleading members of the public that ODM party is no more,” he said.
Maangi added that ODM party is more democratic than any other party in the country.
He said the party leadership is in good hands and no one will be allowed to interfere with the affairs of the party.
“Critics should keep off affairs of the party. Jubilee government should stop using moles to spread propaganda about the ODM party. Anyone willing to join the party should use the right channel to be absorbed into the party and not using the backdoor to taint the name of the party,” he added.
Maangi was speaking on Wednesday when he met with the ODM director of membership Rosemary Kariuki.
