The ODM party has picked lawyer Edwin Sifuna to fly the party's senatorial flag in Nairobi county during the August 8 elections.
This development comes after a high-level meeting at the party's Capitol Hill headquarters on Thursday.
The meeting settled on the young lawyer to replace the former candidate Gabriel Bukachi went unopposed during the recent party nominations in Nairobi.
Among the attendees were ODM party leader and National Super Alliance flag bearer Raila Odinga, incumbent Nairobi County Governor Evans Kidero and 15 other members of the opposition party.
ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale has confirmed the developments.
