The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party will conduct free, fair and credible nominations across the country, says Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire.

Previously, the ODM Party elections were occasionally marred with violence and rigging claims, leading to questions whether the party respects internal democracy.

But Bosire, who also doubles as the party’s national treasurer says only genuine winners will be handed nomination certificates to curb unprecedented chaos after party primaries.

“As a party, we love democracy and I want to promise that nominations will be free, fair and credible. Only winners will be handed their certificates,” he said adding that the party expected more new members in coming weeks.

The outspoken MP who was speaking at Gekano on Saturday said: “”We learn from mistakes and only slow learners can repeat mistakes. We want to win as many seats as we can.”

Nyanza and Nairobi regions will be last areas for the ODM to conduct nominations due to expected fierce rivalry among top candidates seeking various seats.

During his recent tour in Gusii, party leader Raila Odinga assured aspirants of free and fair party primaries.
