Last week, the party's treasurer  Timothy Bosire said that the party would consider supporting Ruto if at all he takes responsibility and apologizes to Kenyans over 2007 chaos.

And on Monday, the former Kitutu Masaba MP slapped Ruto with more demands, this time saying that the country's second in command should back Raila in 2022 for a favour in 2027.

"As we speak, the party's position is unstoppable. That we must change the system from presidential to parliamentary. He mus join us.

"If at all we are going to remain with the presidential system, then he must back Raila in 2022 for a favour in 2027 polls," he said.

Understandably, Raila has dismissed claims that he will be on ballot in 2022 but has been pushing for introduction of a powerful Prime Minister post.

So exciting have been the referendum calls that even KANU, Ford Kenya, ANC, a section of Jubilee have joined ODM's proposal.
