Shimo La Tewa MCA Bakari Ali Munyi is dead.

The 57-year-old MCA died on Monday evening in a bus while traveling from Mombasa to Nairobi.

According to Standard Digital, the MCA, who is reported to have a history of heart related complications, was found with three painkillers in his pocket.

The local daily reports that a passenger who was sitting next to the politician alerted the conductor after he gasped for air before going into a comma.

Police have launched investigations to establish the cause of death.

The body was taken to City Mortuary.
