Last week, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga took a surprise move to visit former President Daniel Arap Moi at his Kabarak home in what many interpret as 2022 election game plan between the two political families.
However, Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga has dismissed the talk of 2022 political arrangement between the Moi and Raila saying that the NASA chief had gone to see the former President after he had been hospitalized nearly a fortnight ago.
"The retired President Moi had gone for medication and when he came back, Raila Odinga decided to pay him a visit to know how he was doing," said Wanga during an interview on Radio Citizen on Tuesday.
"I've seen a section of Rift Valley politicians becoming restless over the visit. But all I can tell them is that visit was purely for greetings and nothing more. They can now relax," she added.
Immediately after the visit, National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale took to his social media page dismissing the meeting terming it as inconsequential which will never have a bearing on the 2022 political arithmetic.
