With many alleged corruption deals dominating the country's political scene for the past few weeks, Raila has maintained uncharacteristic silence opting only to comment 'where necessary', a complete departure from Mr. Odinga of the previous years.

However, while commenting on Raila's new approach to fight corruption, Kisumu Women Representative Rosa Buyu said that the former Prime Minister is planning a "tactical masterclass" to deal with corruption head-on.

"Raila's silence is tactical; he has been talking about corruption and any time corrupt deals are unearthed, people tend to go to their cocoons of tribe and political party. The tactical silence from Raila is allowing us to know the truth," said the ODM MP during an interview on Citizen TV on Wednesday.

When he rarely commented on corruption when while in Mombasa over the weekend, the ODM leader said that the war against corruption must be won "mpende msipende" ( whether you like it or not). He also vowed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta in fighting graft in the country.
