A politician allied to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM ) has hit out at a delegation from North Eastern region that visited State House Nairobi on Thursday.
Former Garissa County woman representative aspirant Fatuma Kinsi said Thursday that the delegation comprised of self seeking individuals whose visit to the capital was only aimed at assuaging their personal interests.
Kinsi added that the North Eastern region was solidly behind the National Super Alliance (Nasa) and would vote overwhelmingly to its candidate Raila Odinga.
She also dismissed president Uhuru Kenyatta's forays into the region as inconsequential noting that locals in the area had made up their minds to chart a new political path.
On Thursday, a delegation comprising mostly of local leaders and residents paid a courtesy call on president Kenyatta whom they assured of support ahead of the October 26 repeat presidential polls.
