Unknown persons on Friday night attacked the home of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) aspirant for the nullified Kinondo Ward seat in Kwale County. The politician, Hamisi Pweza, lost Sh200, 000 to the attackers during the incident. According to Standard Digital, the gangsters destroyed two of Pweza’s cars, which were parked outside the house.Confirming the incident, Msambweni police boss Joseph Chebusit said the security officers are probing the matter.He also urged local residents to remain calm pending investigations."We cannot say that the motive of the attack was politics until we complete our investigations," said Chebusit, as quoted by the daily.The incident occurred barely a month after Kwale Chief Magistrate Doreen Mulekyo was carjacked in Diani town along the Diani Beach Road after annulling the victory of Jubilee Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Juma Maone.Mulekyo was driving alone when she was carjacked.
