Speaking on Saturday, ODM politicians in the county warned their counterparts in NASA to brace for a fierce battle in the August polls.
Led by Jomvu MP Badi Twalib, the leaders asked the electorate to vote for ODM candidates to the last man noting that it will help Raila Odinga if he wins the Presidency.
“How will NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga have his bills or motions passed if we are not the majority? How will his appointments sail through?” Twalib who ditched Kalonzo’s Wiper for ODM asked.
With all the four NASA affiliate parties fielding candidates across many elective seats in the county, the battle for the posts is expected to be an in-house affair.
However, Jubilee is also keen to get a share of the seats in the county that is considered an ODM stronghold.
While downplaying the threat posed by Jubilee in the county, women representative aspirant Aisha Hussein said the Uhuru Kenyatta-led party has no chance of winning any seat even after poaching some of the ODM members.
The two were speaking at Kajembe High School when Twalib handed out bursaries to beneficiaries in the constituency.
