The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will hold its primaries for three wards in Uasin Gishu county on Wednesday.
The exercise was to be held on Monday in Langas, Kipkenyo and Kiplombe wards but later postponed in the last minute.
According to David Songok, Uasin Gishu ODM chairman, the nominations were postponed after delay in disbursement of the voting materials.
"We were ready for the nominations today but the head office told us that voting materials could not be delivered on time forcing us to postpone," said Songok who assured that they will conduct a fee and fair exercise.
Earlier, aspirants had complained over the postponement of the exercise accusing the ODM elections board for failing to communicate on time.
"It is unfortunate that our party decided to postpone today's exercise without involving us. They even haven't given us the reason," said Richard Lokara, MCA aspirant Kipkenyo ward.
The aspirants also questioned the criteria used to pick clerks who will oversee the exercise.
"People given the clerks job are our party members and we believe they are up to the task," assured Kipkorir Menjo, an ODM official.
