At least 2000 NASA supporters from Nyamira would be ferried to Uhuru Park on Tuesday to witness Raila Odinga's swearing-in, Governor John Nyagarama has said.

Efforts to have the event cancelled have failed to materialise with COTU boss Francis Atwoli now demanding that the government allows Raila to take oath.

"There is no need to confront NASA supporters. Just allow them to swear-in their leader," he said amid warning from Nairobi security forces.

Despite the government not showing keen interest, sources intimate that the police are prepared to handle NASA supporters.

And Nyagarama now says the supporters will get an opportunity to witness the 'historical' event no matter the circumstances.

"I want to make it clear that Nyamira is a NASA zone. I will personally ferry 2000 supporters for the event," wrote Nyagarama on his Facebook.

However, Nyagarama is still battling to 'cleanse' his name following claims that he is closely working with Jubilee administration.
