The ground is increasingly becoming hostile for Karachuonyo MP James Rege following his announcement that he had decamped the ODM party and joined Jubilee.
Homa Bay County leaders on Monday continued with the onslaught against the lawmaker days after he hinted at decamping to Jubilee Party.
Homa Bay Governor Cyprian Awiti lead a group of leaders from the lakeside county in condemning Mr Rege saying he is lost and that his political future is doomed unless he changes his political stand.
"We are telling our brother Rege that he has lost his political track, hence he must prepare for an end to his political career," Awiti said.
"We cannot allow Rege to walk freely after this betrayal. It's an insult to us and the entire Homa Bay County."
According to Nyakach lawmaker Aduma Awuor, the people of Karachuonyo still support ODM and that Rege cannot deceive anyone that he has moved to Jubilee with the electorate.
Mr Owuor added that he is going to present a petition to the Registrar of Political parties seeking for Mr Rege's resignation from the party.
Speaking in the same rally at Kendu Bay town on Sunday, Homa Bay MCAs who attended the event said they do not recognise Rege as their MP.
