Opposition party ODM has set aside more than Sh1.5 billion for fees that aspirants will be paying in order to get the party's tickets.
The party will charge 1 million shilling fee for every presidential candidate eyeing the party's ticket while gubernatorial aspirants will pay half a million.
Senators on the other hand will pay a fee Sh250, 000, MCAs on their part will pay Sh25, 000.
Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed who is also the party's Director of Elections justified the high charges stating that the party will foot half the campaign money for all candidates.
''This is a choice and no one is forcing anyone,it is also good to consider that once you win in the nominations the party will contribute 50% of your campaign fund,'' said Junet.
