Governor Hassan Joho has reiterated ODM's commitment to the implementation of the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report.
Joho said the implementation of the report is the surest way of ensuring historical injustices are addressed.
"We remain committed to the implementation of the TJRC report, especially the chapters that outline the historical failures in land management, extrajudicial killings, unfair resource allocation and exploitation," he said as he addressed residents of Kwale County on Friday.
He was in company of ODM party leader Raila Odinga and a host of ODM MPs.
"I recognise that these circumstances may not be unique to the Coast, and it is for this reason that I shall carry this message to all the corners of this country."
"I also reemphasise the impoverishing nature of Jubilee policy choices. The relocation of Mombasa Port operations inland will amount to destroying a city. It is a matter of great concern to the whole nation and an issue after my own heart."
Joho accompanied Mr Odinga as he concluded his five-day tour of the Coast.
Raila has been traversing the region bolstering support for the orange party ahead of next year's elections.
Joho recently announced plans to travel the entire country campaigning for Mr Odinga who he says is well positioned to win the 2017 polls and transform the livelihoods of Kenyans.
