The ODM party risks losing its Changamwe parliamentary seat, after the Wiper Democratic Movement - Kenya, unveiled its candidate.

Sunday, Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper, unveiled Daniel Muange as the party's aspirant, for the Constituency's top job, saying he was ready to represent his electorates at the National Assembly.

Muange alongside Jubilee party's Abdi Daib seek to unseat incumbent Omar Mwinyi, who was elected on an ODM party ticket, in the 2013 elections.

A 'tight' race is expected between Muange and Mwinyi, given that their parties are partners in the National Super Alliance (Nasa), which seeks to unseat the Jubilee government.

Speaking when he officially launched his campaign in Changamwe, Muange said Wiper was strong in Coast, and would ensure he represents area residents.

Also present during the launch was Wiper secretary general, Mombasa senator Omar Hassan.
