The Orange Democratic Movement has refuted claims that Kalonzo Musyoka is Nasa’s presidential flag-bearer.
This follows a letter that went rounds on social media, after Cord principals and ANC party leader signed the Coalition’s agreement.
Part of the letter read, “HEREBY confirm that it is the declaration of the NASA steering committee that HE Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka be the 2017 NASA presidential candidate pending ratification of this decision by the NASA Delegate Forum on 22nd March 2017.”
Branded ‘confidential’, the letter had an alleged signature of James Orengo, chair of the Nasa steering committee.
However, ODM Director of Communication Philip Etale clarified that the document was fake.
“For purposes of clarity, the NASA flag-bearer has not been announced. Anything doing rounds on social media is just speculation,” Etale said on Twitter.
He further accused Jubilee for propagating the rumor, saying they were desperate.
“Even a silly dog in the village will know the document Jubilee is spreading around on SM is as fake as their ideas,” he said, Wednesday.
