Opposition party ODM has moved to consolidate its support in Nyanza region with just under forty days to the general elections.
Nyanza region islargely perceived as the Opposition stronghold, despite Jubilee Party attempting to make forays into the expansive region through Kisii and Nyamira counties.
The series of ODM political meetings will be led by Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Joho is also the outfit's Deputy Party leader alongside Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga is also set to play an integral part during the campaigns.
According to sources, the campaigns will focus on popularizing of NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's bid and mobilizing locals to turn out in numbers to participate in the August polls.
