Taita Taveta Senator Dan Mwazo has accused DP William Ruto of double speak on corruption.
This comes after the DP requested the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to act fast on the corruption scandal facing Kilifi County Health department.
Mwanzo who spoke on KTN News said the DP should give the same focus he has given to the Kilifi county scandal to other grafts facing his own government such as the NYS and Health ministry scams.
"The DP was in Kilifi yesterday and instructed that the concerned agencies must move with full force on the Kilifi case," Mwazo said.
"This is applying of double standards. There has been a lot of theft in the national government such as in the ministry of Health and NYS. We would want the DP, with the same focus, to look into the graft facing his own administration so that the perpetrators are punished," he added.
The legislator urged the opposition also to come together and condemn such glaring theft of public funds without considering which side of the political divide the perpetrators come from.
"A theft is a theft whether it happens on either side of the political divide or religious groupings and what we would want to see from the government and Cord coalition is an outrage on such kind of stealing," he said.
"We want all the concerned agencies to move with speed to investigate and bring the perpetrators to book," he added.
