Busia senator Amos Wako has differed with ODM party leader Raila Odinga on the position of independent candidates.Raila insists that independent aspirants should campaign on their own and that his Orange party and other Nasa affiliate parties will only campaign for their candidates.Speaking in Busia, Monday, after he was cleared by IEBC to seek re-election, Wako said the Busia electorates should be allowed to choose the leaders they want without being compelled to do so.“What I know is that Raila is changing positions not to support independent candidates,” said Wako. The ODM senator added: “The unity Busians want is to Nasa Jubilee and have Raila become the fifth president of Kenya. For other seats from governor to MCAs, the people of Busia should be allowed to elect their leaders without being induced to do so. That is what I am agitating for.”It is not clear if Wako is supporting Funyula MP Paul Otuoma who is eyeing the Busia gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate.
