Busia Senator Amos Wako has been told to come out in public and declare his support for the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Speaking when he launched his re-election manifesto on Sunday, Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong accused Wako of not hunting votes for the former Prime Minister in the Western Kenya region.

"The Senator has not been campaigning for our party leader Raila Odinga but was instead drumming up support for himself," Ojaamong said, issuing a seven-day ultimatum to Wako to declare his political stand.

He said all candidates seeking various seats on Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket should work together and rally their supporters behind Raila enable him to defeat Jubilee's President Uhuru Kenyatta in the next month poll.

“We are subjecting Raila to a lot of stress by campaigning as individuals instead of being one family,” the governor added.
