Nominated Senator Agnes Zani has been ordered Sh201,000 to her former house-help.
Zani was ordered by the Employment and Labour Relations Court to pay Eddah Ingalia,25 for wrongful dismisal.
The standard reports that Ingalia worked for the ODM lawmaker for about a year before her contract was terminated.
Delivering the judgment, Lady Justice Maurine Onyango indicated that she was convinced that the claimant was wrongfully dismissed by Zani.
According to the court, the termination resulted from an incident where Ingalia allowed the Zanis son to leave the house contrary to the instructions from her boss.
The son was 21 years old at the time.
Ingalia told the court that her sacking came as a shock stating that she had children in school and unable to pay her rent.
Ingalia added that her landalord evicted her from the house.
In her ruling, Justice Onyango noted that the claimant suffered following her termination without notice and Zani's failure to pay her terminal benefits as required by the law.
