Political analyst Danstan Omari has called on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to take the blame for the failed nomination processes in some parts of the country.
According to Omari, the initial move by the party to award party tickets to over 800 aspirants has raised questions on the fairness of the nomination exercises all over the country.
"The move by ODM to award party tickets to over 800 aspirants is the main cause of friction in other parts of the country. Aspirants believe there is favoritism in awarding the party tickets," said Omari.
Omari believes that other political parties will experience the same frictions witnessed in ODM since there are those party loyalists who will be handed party certificates even if they go through the nomination exercise.
"Other parties will experience what ODM went through. This will be attributed to those party loyalists who will be awarded by the nomination certificates for the August polls," added Omari.
Omari made the remarks on Tuesday during an interview on Citizen TV.
