According to Alai, the split will enable the Orange party to be better and more vibrant.

The blogger also suggested that selfless young people to take over the leadership of ODM.

Alai further criticised the current ODM leadership as pathetic saying the leaders cannot inspire anyone.

"ODM Must BREAK AWAY from NASA. That will better the party and make it more vibrant," tweeted Alai, Thursday.

"Younger self-less leaders should also assume party leadership. REMEMBER: "Younger" is not equal to YOUTH also. Current ODM youth leadership is so PATHETIC can't inspire anyone," he added.

ODM is currently being headed by former prime minister Raila Odinga.

Other parties in the NASA coalition include Wiper party under the leadership of Kalonzo Musyoka, Ford Kenya headed by Moses Wetangula and ANC headed by Musalia Mudavadi.
