The ODM disciplinary committee has summoned Governors and MPs who recently indicated they had decamped from the orange party to Jubilee.
Committee chairperson Fred Athuok in a dispatch to the 13 defiant party members told the opposition politicians to appear before his committee at Orange House next week on Friday October 7, at 8am for the hearing of their cases.
The 13 include governors Ukur Yatani (Marsabit) and his Kwale counterpart Salim Mvurya.
Others summoned include Zainabu Chidzuga (Kwale Women Rep), Joash Maangi (Deputy Governor Kisii County), MPs Steven Kariuki (Mathare), Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East), Gideon Mung’aro (Kilifi North), Mustafa Iddi (Kilifi South), Cyprian Kubai (Igembe Central) and Isaac Mwaura (nominated).
Karachuonyo's James Rege, Nakuru Town West's Samuel Arama and John Waluke (Sirisia) will also be expected to turn up for the hearing of their cases.
They will be expected to explain why they went against the orange party's ideals and principals by joining other political parties when their terms of service have not expired.
The defendant's lawyers', Kioko Kilukumi and Danson Mungatana according to ODM Communications Director Philip Etale have also been served with copies of the summon letters.
ODM on September 20, dispatched warning letters to the 13 who had been directed to explain their decision to leave ODM within seven days or face disciplinary action.
A section of the rebels however, laughed off the warning saying they wouls still clinch their respective seats even if the IEBC called for by-elections.
