Lawyer Silas Jakakimba could be representing ODM party in East African Legislative Assembly if at all the party makes decisions based on her supporters’ wishes.
With Oburu Oginga having dismissed claims that he had applied for the vacant position, Jakakimba, a former aide to Raila Odinga, has been trending at least in all social media platforms.
The former Homabay senate aspirant quit his job in 2015 to run for senate seat but was prevailed upon by Odinga in favour of incumbent Moses Kajwang.
“This is the time for youths and serious loyalist. Jakakimba should be rewarded for standing with the party all the time,” said Seth Odongo on Facebook.
“I am pretty sure that things are working well but it will be prudent if they give it to Jakakimba. He is a serious Kenyan,” added AB Murage.
Also fronted for the nomination is Antony Kibagendi, a flamboyant City business mogul who lost in Kitutu Chache South ODM primaries.
Kibagendi, close ally of Odinga stands a good chance given that the outgoing MP Joseph Kiangoi hails from his Gusii backyard.
