According to the party's Nairobi chairman George Aladwa, the party is targeting to clinch at least 70 out of the 85 elective seats in the county assembly.

"We were robbed of victory in Makadara but this time round we will not lose," Aladwa, who intends to run for the Makadara MP seat, said on Wednesday.

He said this while submitting his papers at the Orange House after the party extended the deadline for nomination applications by one week.

Aladwa said the deadline was extended to give enough time to away on holiday as well as those travelling from upcountry.
