While addressing the media on Tuesday, Government Spokesman Erick Kiraithe said that the Orange party should be held accountable for the loss since it is the party's supporters that burnt the vehicle.

"The culprits who were involved in the incident will be arrested and prosecuted," said Kiraithe.

ODM supporters set the vehicle ablaze after party leaders concluded the rally and police were forced to use tear gas to disperse them.

This was after the vehicle owner allegedly hit and injured one of the supporters.

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Nairobi counterpart Evans Kidero led the ODM rally at Masinde Muliro gardens in the estate.
