Junet, who is also the Suna East MP said they will actively be engaged in voter education, especially in areas perceived as ODM strongholds.

“Once we are through and comfortable with IEBC, we as ODM shall embark on another round of new voter registration because out of the over four million adult people in Western Kenya, only one million registered as voters,” said Mohamed.

“This is one of the reasons we intended to have a credible IEBC that is not biased with the voter baskets of the leading parties,” said Mohamed on Thursday in Nairobi.

He also called upon the youth to support their quest for power and massively register as voters in readiness for the 2017 general elections.

“Every young person who is behind our quest to lead this nation will have to talk about voter registration. Encourage your friends and bring them on board to register. Hold awareness forums in your village,” said Mohamed.

“In a democratic world, the vote is the loudest tool as far as governance is concerned,” he added.
