ODM will not relent on its ‘clean up’ of members ahead of the 2017 general election, party leadership has said.
According to ODM national Treasurer Timothy Bosire, more ‘rebels’ will be swept aside as the party conducts an internal reorganisation to steady its ship.
Speaking on Tuesday at Parliament Buildings, Bosire said that they will soon crack the whip on other errant members to follow the already expelled ten.
"ODM is committed to taking over the leadership of this country, hence the reorganisation to ensure only committed soldiers remain,” he said.
“People with divided loyalty cannot be trusted to walk this path to protect the people’s faith, hence the cleanup," Bosire added.
Among those earlier deregistered from the party are Governor Salim Mvurya (Kwale), Deputy Governor Joash Maangi (Kisii) and MCA Sam Nyang'wara (Viwandani).
