The movement will be carrying out a series of activities ranging from voter registration mobilization of Identification cards sensitization.

Speaking to the reporter on Tuesday, Marube who chairs the Youth League team said preparations were in the final stages and Cord leader Raila Odinga would be among top party leaders expected to attend the launching ceremony.

“We are finalizing on the launch of Mapambano Movement in our county and the Party Leader Raila Odinga will be expected to join us during the launching few days from today. We are in the final preparations and Nyamaiya stadium will be our venue,” he said.

“The movement will be sensitizing residents on voter registration and also will be mobilizing residents to apply for National Identification cards ahead of 2017 polls,” Marube added.

He also said the movement will be educating residents on the Orange party’s manifesto at the grassroots to make it easier for top leadership during the 2017 presidential campaigns.

“We want to win presidency and that can be only done if we educate our people on what the party stands for. We have the manifesto and its time we tell people what ODM wants and how we will implement it once in power,” he added.

He said the Nyamira will be the first county to launch the movement before its spreads other to other remaining counties as part of Maanzoni agreement that was reached recently during a national ODM Youth retreat.
