The Orange Democratic Movement has said that it will punish those behind Nairobi governor Evans Kidero's impeachment motion.
Speaking in Nairobi on Tuesday, ODM Nairobi chairman George Aladwa said the party will punish those behind the motion because they had failed to 'stand with each other'.
"In ODM we defend each other and the party will discipline and punish those behind the motion behind the party's consent," Aladwa said.
However, Viwandani MCA Samuel Nyang’wara who tabled the motion has insisted that he has nothing to hide and he is not afraid of any threats.
"My conscience is clear, I have nothing to fear," he stated in response to the threats.
Governor Kidero is accused of violating the Constitution by failing to implement the Ward Development Fund and also being involved in the gross misappropriation of county funds.
However, he obtained a court order to have the motion temporarily blocked on grounds that it was flawed and infringed on his right to hold public office.
