The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has warned that members sympathizing with senior government officials under investigation over corruption will be punished.
According to ODM chairman John Mbadi, the party was fully behind the war against corrupt government officials.
“Any member of the opposition who is going to 'ethnicise' or 'tribalise' the waragainst corruption will be removed from parliamentary committees. Now that he (President Kenyatta) is using them [state agencies] to fight the vice, we should all support him because we would be naive to begin fighting him," said Mbadi while adrressing journalists.
The National Assembly Minority leader stated that the Majority leader Aden Duale was also expected to crack the whip on Jubilee MPs who are soft on the fight against corruption.
“Some few individuals in the country cannot enrich themselves at the expense of wananchiand then state that the war against corruption is a witch-hunt,” Mbadi added.
He further urged politicians who alleged that the ongoing war on corruption was a witchhunt to provide evidence.
