The same committee had been looking into the wrangles between the members of the county assembly and their speaker Anne Adul after the former decided to impeach Adul.

“We did appoint a taskforce to investigate the problems within the assembly. It has completed investigations and has prepared a report that will be submitted this week. They will look more into the executive so that they come up with a complete report on both the county assembly and the executive arms of the Kisumu county government," said Raila.

Odinga said ODM will deal with the issues as a party.

“We want to see that there is harmony and efficiency in management of the county governments under CORD as we have to deliver to the people," said Odinga.

While stating that there should be no acrimony between county leaders, Raila said a short period was remaining before the end of the first term of devolution and that governors needed to pull up their socks and deliver to the people instead of constant wrangles.

Raila however stated that wrangles are all over in county governments due to teething problems that the national government has done little to address.

He said apart from Kisumu, Machakos and other warring counties' wrangles will be looked at case by case as they have different dynamics. He said the national government should come in and ensure there are proper management structures within devolved units of the county governments.

"National government has a responsibility of coordination to ensure service delivery does not suffer at the expense of a tug of war between the governor and their deputies," said odinga.
